Our first public run, in the rain but with success!
Saturday 8-Sept-07 proved to be a rainout for Eureka Days, but we ran and gave rides to 122 people with great success!

Railroading St. Louis Live Steamers style! In spite of the rain, look at the smiles on engineer John T., Rich O. and Anna L.'s faces! Member Al W. takes the throttle of the Wabash with a pretty clear stack, which did not prevent him from from getting a light coating of coal cinders! With the cylinder cocks open, the Cedar Creek R.R. takes to the rails on a raining day. Member George R., takes the throttle of the fine running Wabash while owner Ax K. and wife Marie ride. The work of an engineer is never done, especially if you are also the maintenance department! Rich O. and wife Anna work on the Cedar Creek R.R. after a whistle valve jammed open. The little 0-4-0 later returned to the high iron. The track and Joel's engine running revenue (passengers!). In the distance switchman Paul S. and just at the right edge of the picture switchman Bob G. keep the trains going. Later Al W., and William W. manned the switches, in spite of the rain. The 'ticket station', manned by Don M. and Vivian S. Fellow members John K. & wife Kay, along with her mom and member Charlton J. take shelter from the rain while waiting for more passengers to arrive. Getting ready to leave the station. Ax stands at the ready for passengers while the passengers board on the first track. All eyes on the approaching engine. An expectent crowd at the station. 8-Sept-07 Waiting for the parade to start. Sam, Corey. Not pictured, Suzie.
