September and October 2002 were all about lathe work, brass and stainless steel. Here are the cylinder assemblies, two each. The stainless steel work was on the pistons and rods. The cylinders were bored out to 1.375" from 2.25" brass stock, along with the cylinder ends and packing gland. Next step is to drill and tap 10 holes each in the cylinder ends, mill a flat spot on the side of each cylinder and drill 8 holes each to attach it to the steam chest. I'll do the drilling work on the mill/drill.
